Next Thursday (August 26) is Women’s Equality Day. It commemorates the 1920 adoption of the 19th Amendment that gave women the right to vote in the US. It also signifies women’s fight for equality in all aspects of life in society. One of the best ways to celebrate the day is to educate yourself and others. Here are 3 book ideas:
- We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
- Women and Power: A Manifesto by Mary Beard
- Invisible Women: Exposing Data Bias in a World Designed for Men by Caroline Criado-Perez*
*Femtech Focus Book Club is discussing this book next Wednesday (see slide 3)! Join Susan Stover and Karen Wells for an inspiring and relaxing event.
